It is a work of true brilliance, suspense, romance and adventure. The film is virtually unknown as near as I can tell in America and probably in Britain as well nowadays.
It is my favorite End of the World movie. I would put it up there with any other End of the World movie, believing personally that it is the best; certainly any discerning viewer would place it among the very best. It is also one of the finest newsroom movies that I have ever seen.
I believe that the dialogue, written mostly by Wolf Mankiewicz in a screenplay made with director Val Guest, rivals that of any newsroom screen play anywhere.
